What makes Dan unique to other artists is that he has never studied art and has truly  no idea about other artists. All of his work is completely original and from his own imagination. It is a talent gifted to him. A troubled genius with a dark path in life.  This shows in his work which often have a sense of darkness to them, but also possess a great sense of humour.  His work and personality are much different to the current landscape of so many contemporary artists today; where he displays a rawness, openess, and a sense of self depreciation that is unparalleled in the landscape of contemporary artists today who often project an over confidence and fake it till you make it persona of perception over reality which has cursed our society not just in art, but in all walks of life.
